Soundproofing a Pipe

Noise Control Solutions for Pipe

Are you renovating an old house that still has its original cast iron plumbing? Do you live in a new home with a bathroom directly above or adjacent to your more public spaces? Whether it’s a small 1 1/4 inch pipe or a larger 4 inch pipe, water rushing through the plumbing can generate enough noise and vibrations loud enough to be annoying. The volume of flow and pipe material will also affect the amount of noise generated, cast iron transmitting more than copper or PVC.

Soundproofing pipes before construction is always recommended but any accessible or exposed pipes can be sound proofed using QUIET WRAP ™ or ULTRA QUIET WRAP ™ available from AMERICAN MICRO INDUSTRIES. See product descriptions below.

QUIET WRAP™ and QUIET WRAP ™/PSA (Peel-and-stick backing)
